A recent Holy Conversation where the congregation helps set Emmaus' future direction.

Governance

Emmaus' Council is the governing body of the Church and has the authority to act for the church. It meets monthly to define the mission of the congregation, assess the context in which we pursue our mission, develop resources for ministry, envision the future, and develop strategies for ministering today and in the future. The Council is made up of about 20 people: the chairs of five Boards (i.e., Deacons, Stewardship and Finance, Christian Education, Service and Mission, and Property Management), six Committees (i.e., Long-Range Planning, Growth and Evangelism, Pastoral Relations, EmmausCares, Nominating, and Personnel), plus the officers of the church (i.e., Moderator, Associate Moderator, Senior Minister, Director of Christian Education, Clerk, Treasurer, and Financial Secretary), at least one additional Deacon, and three Members-at-Large.
